Prosecutor’s office incriminates man who has threatened mr Rubano of “Striscia la Notizia”

A week after the complaint by the satirical news contributor, who received anonymous calls, the Public prosecutor of Vallo della Lucania opened a file

On November 20, 2017 the Attorney of Vallo della Lucania (in the province of Salerno) has identified and reported the author of the threatening phone calls received in the night between 12 and 13 October by the journalist Vincenzo Rubano, collaborator of the satirical news reel of Canale 5 Striscia la Notizia (read).

He is a 60 year old man from Cernusco sul Naviglio (in the province of Milan) who wanted to express his resentment for the report, produced by Rubano and Vittorio Brumotti, on the illegal occupation of parking spaces reserved for the disabled, in which he speaks of him.

On November 13, Vincenzo Rubano had reported the matter to the police. After the indictment of the manager, he commented: “I thank the Vallo della Lucania Public Prosecutor and the Carabinieri of Marina di Camerota for having conducted the investigation with speed and efficiency. This is a sign of the State’s closeness to threatened journalists: it is a sign that those who threaten a journalist will be sent before the law “.
