The cameraman Fabio Pignatelli was attacked on the spot where a road accident had occurred just sometime before. A motorcyclist had lost his life. Some of the victim’s acquaintances have interrupted the video footage by snatching his camera and throwing it into the sea at the bottom of a cliff. In the attack they gave him a cut to the head that was medicated with some stitches in the emergency room in Taranto.

PRECEDENTS – From 2011 to today, in Puglia, Ossigeno has detected 139 serious violations of the freedom of the press and of expression committed with illicit acts, acts of violence, and abuse against journalists, bloggers, video operators, photo reporters, publishers, whose names are published in the Observatory’s Table. In 2017, 31 names were added to this list.
